SJV Prime+ BS/MD Pathway Webinar Overview

The SJV PRIME+ BS/MD Program is an 8-year, 15-student cohort for high school graduates / newly-incoming freshman to become a doctor for the San Joaquin Valley of California. An SJV PRIME+ scholar who completes this medical education program receives their medical degree from UCSF School of Medicine, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science from UC Merced and finishing medical training at UCSF Fresno. This program is designed to educate, train, and retain physicians within the San Joaquin Valley (SJV) to address severe regional physician shortages and improve health equity in central California. This webinar will discuss history, purpose, partnership, structure, and timeline of this opportunity. The application workshop is a separate webinar expected to occur in Fall 2026.
